Girl Scout Highest Awards

Highest Award Girl Scouts are making the world a better place by making a difference in her community and the greater world, while developing different skills and experiences along the way. These young women are inspiring leaders whose Take Action Projects are impacting the worlds of STEM, education, agriculture, medicine, and more on a local, national, or global level. By the time you put the final touches on your seven-step project, you'll have solved a community problem—not only in the short term, but for years into the future—and you’ll be eligible for college scholarships!

Bronze Award Requirements                  (Junior) 

Complete 1 Junior Journey

Complete as a troop or individually 

20 Hours

Proposal is approved by troop leader. Certificates and letters will be mailed by council. 

Final report with photos are submitted to council for approval. 

Project must be submitted to council by September 30th of 6th Grade. 

Silver Award Requirements                 (Cadette) 

Complete 1 Cadette Journey

Complete as a small group (2-3) or individually 

50 Hours

No formal proposal, proposal is approved by troop leader

Neatly organized in a binder, sent to and approved by council

Project must be submitted to council by September 30th of 9th Grade. 

Gold Award Requirements                      (Senior & Ambassador) 

Complete 3 Senior or Ambassador Journeys or Silver Award and 1 Journey

Completed individually 

80 Hours

Formal Proposal form submitted to council.

Neatly organized in a binder, sent to and approved by council

Project must be submitted to council by September 30th of freshman year of college.
